Ohio State vs. Notre Dame football score, takeaways, reactions for Week 1

The Ohio State football crew opens the 2022 school football season in fabulous design as the Buckeyes play one of the game's most notable projects on a day when they honor one their best groups in program history and celebrate 100 years of football in the Horseshoe.

Indeed, Saturday is an important day for the No. 2 positioned group in the country, which plays No. 5 Notre Dame.

The matchup is a homecoming for first-year Notre Dame lead trainer Marcus Freeman, who assumed control over the program in December and made his presentation in the 2022 Fiesta Bowl. Freeman played linebacker at Ohio State from 2004-08 preceding beginning his training profession. He was the cautious facilitator for Luke Fickell at the University of Cincinnati prior to taking the Notre Dame work.
