Morbius gets resurrected by memes, flops on first day back in theaters
Morbius is back in theaters — regardless of nobody in any event, requesting it — and its disagreeability is just making itself more self-evident. The film made only $85,000 on Friday in the wake of making a re-visitation of more than 1,000 theaters, bringing its homegrown combined to $73.6 million (through Forbes).
Morbius was initially delivered on April first and wasn't the most generally welcomed. In The Verge's audit of the flick, our TV and film journalist, Charles Pulliam-Moore, says Morbius' pacing, plot, and the exhibition of its lead entertainers feel "absurd," and "raises doubt about Sony's amazing task of building a whole realistic universe on Spider-Man's back."
